NAFCC Accreditation Council Eligibility & Role Description
To be considered for the NAFCC Accreditation Council: YOU MUST BE AN NAFCC MEMBER
Please submit your application, resume, and 2 letters of recommendation no later than Friday, January 31st, 2025.
The principal functions of the NAFCC Accreditation Council are as follows:
- Establish goals consistent with the purpose, vision, and mission of NAFCC to encapsulate the principal function of maintaining the quality and integrity of the accreditation program
- Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of NAFCC Accreditation Council
Monitor organizational performance Council Members have the following skills/qualifications:
- Possess the commitment, time, and leadership skills to serve effectively in the specified position
- Have broad knowledge and awareness of issues facing the field
- Able to conceptualize the appropriate role of NAFCC Accreditation
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to objectively consider various perspectives to guide major policy decisions of NAFCC Accreditation
- Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the early care and education community and allied agencies
- Able to interact positively with diverse groups of people
- Able to be a public spokesperson on behalf of NAFCC Accreditation and its principles
- Have expertise in special areas needed by NAFCC Accreditation, including knowledge of governance, group functioning, management, academic research, knowledge and/or experience in
